Where Business Meets Culture
Back to Inspiration
September brings back the question parked in July: where are we holding the next meeting? The venues people remember are rarely the most convenient ones — they are the ones that gave the day a sense of place. Four Italian spaces where industrial heritage and contemporary culture now host business with the same confidence they host art.
Fondazione Prada, Milan – Where Business Meets Contemporary Vision
A former distillery reworked by OMA, where 1910s buildings meet the gold-leaf Haunted House and the panoramic floors of the Torre. Fondazione Prada offers flexible halls for product launches and intimate spaces for executive dinners, pairing world-class contemporary art with a setting that makes a statement on its own.
OGR Torino – A Locomotive Workshop Reborn as an Innovation Hub
Built in the 19th century to repair steam locomotives, the Officine Grandi Riparazioni are now one of Europe’s most dynamic centres for culture and technology. Vast naves of steel, brick and glass host conferences, keynotes and exhibitions on a scale few historic venues in Italy can match — with contemporary technical infrastructure throughout.
MAXXI, Rome – Architecture as the Centrepiece
Zaha Hadid’s museum of 21st-century art and architecture: flowing concrete curves, suspended staircases and light falling from above. MAXXI is the rare venue where the décor can stay minimal by design, with galleries for seated dinners, an auditorium for presentations, and an open piazza for receptions well into autumn.
Manifattura Tabacchi, Florence – The City’s New Creative District
A 1930s Rationalist tobacco factory built with Pier Luigi Nervi, decommissioned in 2001 and regenerated into 100,000 sqm of workshops, exhibitions and event halls. Manifattura Tabacchi shows a working, contemporary Florence rather than the postcard — minutes from the historic centre, with the MOTEL space adding 1,500 sqm for conferences and showcases.
